Crows make their nest on the poles, telephone towers or on the tree and lay three eggs in the nest. The crows make kaaw-kaaw sound.

Indian crows are social birds and are found near human habitation. They are found in the city or town as well as villages. But now unfortunately they are rarely found. Crows prefer to live in a large family. The crows live in group which is called “murder”.

Crows are extremely intelligent and smart. Some species of crow can mimic and can count up to seven and can learn about 100 words if trained.

Some species of Crows are endangered because of hunting and of their habitat loss due to deforestation. Some species are harmful for crops as they destroy the crops by eating but on the other hand the crows kill the harmful pests and insects which damage the crops. Crows clean the environment by eating the dead animals, carrion garbage etc. So we must protect them from extinction.
