North East
Congo Lion (Panthera leo azandica)
The North
East Congo lion also known as Uganda lion is an endangered sub-species. They
are found in the Congo River basin, the Virunga National Park in Democratic
Republic of the Congo and Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda, Kidepo
Valley and Murchison Falls National Park in Central African Republic, in Rwanda
Akagera National Park and in the south of Sudan.
Kalahari

lion is found in the Cetral Kalahari region in Botswana. The Kgalagadi Transfrontier
Park in the Kalahari Desert is the best place to see the Kalahari lions.

The main
threats to the lions are habitat destruction, human-lions conflict, poaching,
hunting etc. Currently there are more captive lions then wild lions. If
emergency measures are not taken, there will be no lion left on Earth
